Mod Organizer 2 Folder Set Up Tutorial
If you are installing Mod Organizer 2 for the first time, it is a good idea to re-direct where your mods are stored and installed. The default location for Mod Organizer 2 is pointed at a location in the C:\Users\(your name)\AppData which can be hard to find or you may not have enough space on that particular drive.
Step 1:
Go to the drive where you intend on storing your mods (usually a good idea to choose one with the most available space)
Make a new Folder named Mod Organizer 2
Step 2:
Open that new Mod Organizer 2 Folder
Make a new folder inside of that named Skyrim AE
Step 3:
open the Skyrim AE folder you just made
You will need to make 5 folders within this folder
MAKE SURE to spell these correctly just as the image shows (no CAPS)
These will be:
downloads
mods
overwrite
profiles
webcache
Step 4:
Open the profiles folder
Inside of that make a new folder named Default
(Again make sure to name it just like the image!)
Step 5:
Open Mod Organizer 2 Program
Click on the Tools button (circled in red) then in the window that pops up click on the 3 dots as circled in the image.
Navigate to your drive where you made the folder Mod Organizer 2.
Choose the Mod Organizer 2 folder
Push OK
(you do not need to do anything else in this window)
Step 6:
When you down your mods, do it manually and point the downloads to Mod Organizer 2\Skyrim AE\downloads
This is where all of your Mod Archives will be stored.
