About This Mod

So, draugr got you down? Vampires sucking your will to live? Don't worry. This mod is here to help. The Arsenal of the Holy Light mod aims to give the player more options, and better ways of defeating the vast amount of undead in Skyrim. If you have ever wanted to role play as a Paladin, Cleric, Holy Warrior, Vigilant, vampire hunter, or a restoration heavy build, this mod can help make that happen. There is something for any play style. Mage, Warrior, or stealthy.

The base game gave us a few useful restoration spells such as turn undead, and circle of protection. But very little that actually deals damage. This mod remedies that.

This mod adds a large variety of custom sun spells and conjuration spells, all aimed at destroying the undead. It also adds custom staves, silver bows, silver swords, silver great swords, and sunfire arrows and bolts. All can be crafted at any forge, although the custom staves can only be crafted at the staff enchanter in the Temple of the Holy Light.

The custom spells include:

Sun Burst: (available with a novice, apprentice, adept, and expert level versions). This spell sends a ball of holy light, damaging only the undead.

Sun Beam: (available with a novice, apprentice, adept, and expert level versions). This is a limited range concentration spell that sends a beam of holy light to cook any undead. It's range is slightly longer than flames.

Sun Cloak: (available with an apprentice, adept, and expert level version). Works like any cloak, but surrounds the caster in holy light. Only affects undead.

Solar Blast: An adept level spell. The same as the adept level version of Sun Burst, but has an area of effect.

Divine Will: An adept level spell. This spell turns undead up to level 13, and delivers sun damage over time (30 seconds).

Divine Aura: An expert level spell. Similar to Divine Will. This spell surrounds the target in an aura of holy light, turning undead up to level 21, and burns over time.

Holy Rune: An adept level spell. This rune deals 20 points of fire damage to any target, but undead will take triple damage because of a 40 pt. sun damage component.

Rune of Purity: An expert level spell. This rune deals 30 points of fire damage to any target, but undead will take triple damage because of a 60 point sun damage component. This rune also has a burn over time component, affecting only the undead.

Meridia's Grip: A master level spell. This spell uses two hands (does not require dual casting perk). This concentration spell sends a beam of holy light that will burn the undead target, and completely stagger-lock it. The target will be unable to move, fight, shout, cast spells, attack, or run away.

Turn Grand Undead: This master level spell only requires one hand to cast, and will turn any undead up to level 30.

These restoration spells will be boosted by the necromage perk, and by fortify restoration potions. Or both!

Also included is a custom power called "Invocation of Stendarr". This power will restore 30 points of health, stamina, and magicka for 10 seconds, and turn any nearby undead.

If you like to summon some help, this mod includes 6 conjurables. 3 mages, and 3 battlemages.

Luminary: Apprentice level mage. Uses sun burst, and sun beam spells.

Guardian of Sol: Apprentice level battlemage. Fights with a silver sword and shield. Uses a sun cloak.

Meridia's Acolyte: Adept level mage. Uses adept level versions of sun burst and sun beam. Also has turn undead and healing.

Cleric of Stendarr: Adept level battlemage. Wears dwarven armor. Fights with a silver sword and shield. Uses an adept level sun cloak spell.

Sun Priestess: Expert level mage. Uses expert level versions of sun burst and sun beam. Also has turn greater undead, and healing.

Holy Crusader: Expert level battlemage. Wears steel plate armor. Fights with a silver sword and shield. Uses expert level sun cloak spell.

The conjuration perks "Dual Casting", "Summoner", "Atromancy", "Elemental Potency", and "Twin Souls" will be applied to the conjurables in this mod.

All of the spells (except the conjuration spells) are classified as restoration spells. The spells can only be obtained in the Temple of the Holy Light. They are not available in vendor inventories or random loot. This was done to avoid any possibility of some spells never showing up in vendor inventories, as this tends to be too random. The tomes are on the tables in the Temple, and there is an extra copy of each located in the bookcase in the basement.

The mod gives you the ability to craft silver bows, silver swords, and silver great swords. The swords are the same as what's in game, visually. They are custom in that they can be crafted, and their stats have been slightly modified to make them a better option. The text "Especially effective against undead" was removed, but the extra damage from silver IS still applied. Only the text was removed. You will need the steel smithing perk to craft these.

You will also have the ability to craft sunfire arrows and bolts. To craft them, you will need one firewood, one silver ingot, one vampire dust, and one bone meal. They can be crafted at any forge, and will create 20. These arrows and bolts deal 7 points of damage, but an additional 20 points of sun damage to undead. They will make a sun burst explosion upon impact. These were created instead of silver arrows and bolts. The silver weapons script can not be applied to arrows or bolts because those are classified as ammo, not weapons.

Most of the spells can be applied to a custom staff. These can only be crafted at the staff enchanter in the Temple. (Staff enchanters are bugged. This is my way of fixing the bug). The mod will start you out with a novice level staff of sun burst, novice level staff of sun beam, two unenchanted restoration staves, two unenchanted conjuration staves, and four heart stones.

To craft a staff, you will need the appropriate level in restoration or conjuration for the spell you wish to use. For example, if you wish to craft a staff of solar blast, you will need a 50 in restoration, you must know the spell (easy since the tomes are in the temple), have an unenchanted restoration staff, and 3 heart stones.

In the dagger display case is a dagger called "The Dagger of the Righteous" It contains a unique sun damage enchantment. Take it and disenchant it right away. There is an enchanting table in the temple. This sun damage enchantment only affects the undead, but is more powerful than fire. Next to the display case is some sunfire arrows and bolts.

There are two books on the large table. One is a history of the Temple. The other is a smithing skill book. Its a comedic story that explains why the steel smithing perk is required to craft the silver weapons.

The basement was a late addition. It contains a bed, cooking pot, alchemy lab, forge, smelter, tanning rack, work bench, and some safe custom storage. There is a wood chopping block outside. This is NOT intended to be a player home, but could be used as one, if desired.

Good luck, have fun, and go cook some undead!

Emberwood Bar is an open world player home for Skyrim SE A long time ago, before the town of Riverwood existed, a prospector discovered iron ore deposits nearby. A mining operation was set up, and the mine was called "Embershard Mine". Initially, the miners lived in tents outside the mine. But it soon became apparent that this was not suitable due to the terrain and vegetation. So, they relocated a bit north, next to the river. It wasn't long before a blacksmith set up shop. Lakeshore Cabin

I originally built this house for myself, with an emphasis on convenience and efficiency, which explains why there are containers on each floor, extra enchanter and alchemy lab, the locations of the three stones, etc. Later on I decided to share it, since so many creators have shared their work with me. This log cabin home is unique. Hand made from vanilla assets, and literally built one log at a time from the ground up. The windows on the outside are set to be dark during the day, then light up
