SMMB Skin Conversion Kit

Because of my wanting to convert textures and trying several different methods to get a good conversion some of which turned out very close I finally broke down and made 2 specialty meshes for the purpose the first is an adjusted better males body so that a bake with x normal will automatically fix the bellybutton of the skin and adjust the musculature to the proper heights.

The second is an adjusted better males body who's uv's  match the SMMB body together and with the right xnormal settings you can bake out an almost perfect texture very easily with no need to adjust cages or anything.

The steps are as follows

1. Open XNormal

2. In high definition meshes load bethfoot.obj (Its a unified body with feet didn't rename the file)

3. In Base texture to bake pick your texture you want to convert it does not support the latest dds format so you may need to convert your base texture to another lossless format first.

4. In low definition meshes load bethfoot smmb.obj (Again its a unified body with feet) defaults should be fine.

5. In Baking options make sure closest hit if ray fails and discard back faces hits are both checked select your size and name your output file at the top set edge padding to whatever you feel is appropriate I use the default 4 Bucket size of 32 and turn up the antialiasing to 4x.

6.Under maps to render just have base texture checked.

7. OPTIONAL: In 3D Viewer you can optionally choose a base texture for instance a nipple texture with toenails otherwise you'll need to manually move those you'll need to blend out the old nipples anyway. you can pick a blend mode that merges that texture properly.

8. Click generate maps and wait for the preview to load and deal with the prompts then hit close and find your texture.

9. Fix any minor errors in a photo editor or sculpting program of your choice you just cut down at least 90% of the work.

There's a python script available for automating xnormal i''m sure you could batch convert textures with that and some gimp or photoshop scripting but I haven't looked into doing it yet although I may.

Sorry ignore first attachment this one is the one you need somehow after my last tweaks I forgot to export the body of the smmb uv so it was just outputting feet 😞 this one is working though.
