View File PAINT.NET extensions #5 - Attila Pro Effects This is a pack of plugins from different authors for PAINT.NET working in program as effects and functions. READ THE INSTALL MANUAL BEFORE CLICK ARBITRALILY! ________________________________________________________________________________ ORIGINS: This one is a bit mysterious. The original composer of this plugin pack I'm not able to allocate. It last appeared in 2015 on a german website, wich is my source for this. It's a popular computer themed website and newspaper, so far trustable to publish secure and functioning programs. ______________________________________________________________________________ DESCRIPTION and FEATURES: Therefore I tested it for security reasons and functions extensively. I primarily use and recommend it for its pure bandwith of functions. It's 300+ Effects. It also implicates I can't give full manual of the features here. Most of the stuff is self explaining and well functioning though. Otherwise I woundn't provide it here. Some of the plugins are part of other PAINT.NET plugin packs to find. Since this is older than these other plugins I presented here and are going to present - please take care not to install older plugin versions than you have, therefore read and follow the install manual: __________________________________________________ INSTALLATION: Close PAINT.NET. Run the installer. As install path you need to navigate to your PAINT.NET install path and the folder named "Effects" in it. This should be like "[Drive]:\Program Files\Paint.net\Effects" like the installer suggests. Now take care: If the installer asks to overwrite files just say no to all. If you maybe later install other plugin packs asking to overwrite the files you install right now this is recommended, these here are probably the outdated ones. __________________________________________________________________________________ Stay tuned. View File PAINT.NET extensions #2 - PSD Plugin This plugin is to open Photoshop filetype(s) with PAINT.NET. Some of you maybe worked with that program before or want to edit files of that type they got from elsewhere. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The plugin can load and save the following features of Photoshop .PSD files with no loss of fidelity: RGB images Color depth of 8 bits per channel Raster images with no use of vector features Layers, using the common blend modes (Optional) RLE compression In this way, you can use the plugin to exchange work between Paint.NET and other programs. This is especially important since Paint.NET preserves layers only for the default .PDN format. Other file formats are flattened on save. The .PSD file format thus offers the best way to preserve layers when editing an image in multiple graphics programs. The Photoshop .PSD file format is a de facto standard in the graphics industry. In addition to the Adobe Creative Suite, many non-Adobe programs can also read the PSD format: Autodesk Sketchbook, 3ds Max, The GIMP, Microsoft Expression Design, etc. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ INSTALL: Get the zip from the download and extract it into the path named "FileTypes" of your PAINT.NET installation path. __________________________________________________________________________________ Remember Photoshop is a very complex program, so expecting to correctly convert any absurd setup would be too much. View File PAINT.NET free + dds filetype extention PAINT.NET is a popular graphics program. It has been free for years, now microsoft store decided to make it paid. So this download is getting a free version before they wipe it out of the net. ________________________________________________________________________________ There is also an extention for making it able to open, edit and save as DDS filetype. This is the image format most Bethesda games use. __________________________________________________________________________________________ So in short you can use PAINT.NET as a substitude to extreme expensive Photoshop or clumsy, ugly GIMP now for any kind of texture modding. Make a texture replacer mod in no time. _______________________________________________________________________________________ IMPORTANT: I also have access to PAINT.NET developer extensions which pimp up PAINT.NET to an extreme powerful graphics suite. Program should have updates ready if you open it up first. Open install path now, you'll need the path in a second to put DDS file Extention there. So download the DDS filetype plugin now. This is an archive file. Extract this to your the folder in your PAINT.NET install path named "FileTypes". If you can't unpack for some reason inform yourself what an archive filetype is and goto instal 7zip on your rig.
